Samuel's MRI

Well, on December 19th, Samuel had an MRI, no small feat for a 3 year old, to see if they can determine a cause for his seizures. He had to be fully anesthetized to accomplish this, so we were at the hospital for most of the day. The MRI results are now back, and they came back "normal," meaning they didn't see anything abnormal in there like tumors or birthmarks or the like. This is good and bad. Good because there is nothing in there that would require surgery. Bad because we still don't know what is causing his seizures to be able to treat it better. Mixed blessing.

We are still increasing his first medication to the max dose, which will be reached sometime next week. It hasn't changed the frequency of the seizures, but it has slightly decreased the intensity of them when they do happen.

We always pray for healing for our precious little boy, but in the meantime, we also pray for wisdom and comfort in the midst of this trial. Thank you for your continued prayers as well.
